    Not quite what I hoped

    I love Kitsch products and use them almost exclusively. I’m going to do my best to describe this scent, because I realize that perfume is a highly individualized preference and choice. What I don’t like might be the very reason you love it. I love feeling that a scent is elevated and has subtle notes of something else that keeps me guessing. I love when it remains like a whisper all day, and I constantly feel like it is reinventing itself as it sits on my skin. I feel like a lot of the Kitsch hair perfumes do this, which is amazing, especially for the price point. When I purchased warm sugar, I didn’t really expect to like it as much as I ended up liking it. I usually don’t go for sweet, cloying scents. I don’t want to smell like a cupcake. But it was sophisticated and elevated. I felt like through the day I was constant saying oh my gosh Yum. I absolutely fell in love with warm sugar when I didn’t expect to. I was hoping that rustic vanilla would be on the same plane – sweet but somehow more sophisticated and elevated. I do think vanilla lovers will really like it. For me, it was kind of one dimensional. It does have some body to it, which is why I gave it four stars. I can smell that it is more complex and nuanced than just the smell of plain vanilla. But I was disappointed that it seemed to lack the depth and complexity of warm sugar, which to me felt like it was constantly blooming into something more beautiful throughout the day as time passed.     My favorite scent yet!!

    I purchased this from the Kitsch store on Amazon, and it came so quickly! This is my third hair perfume from Kitsch and I LOVE them!! Rustic Vanilla has taken my number one spot, which used to be Warm Sugar. The scent is so warm and cozy, I can't wait to wear this when the weather gets crisp and into the winter. I will definitely be buying 3 of these to stock up. I find that they last a good amount of time in my hair because hair holds scent. I love putting Super Milk by Lush in my hair before the hair perfumes to make them last even longer!

    Skip it and just wash your hair.

    I ordered the Oak & Amber and honestly, it's not for me. Instead of a warm, woodsy scent, it comes across intensely floral. It lasts, but not in a good way; the fragrance shifts into something sharp and chemical over time. On top of that, it made my hair look and feel greasy and weighed down. Overall takeaway: skip it and just wash your hair.

    The rustic vanilla is my new favorite. I had warm sugar and warm sugar is wonderfully sweet. But this one is more of a true vanilla which i loveee. Its warm, smells like fall and is a beautiful adult vanilla. If you enjoy vanilla you'll really like this one.
